BASED ON THE ALBUM BY BELOVED HARD ROCK TRIO THE WARNING
Steve Meddaugh’s second novel takes him on an unexpected journey into the realm of horror with a work of fan fiction.
Based on the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene by The Warning, Meddaugh goes beyond the lyrics and takes the reader deeper into the story song by song.
The album itself makes a great companion soundtrack, so be sure to check it out if you are unfamiliar with the music this novel is based on.
For those who are skeptical of this project, please read my foreword here.

Synopsis:
Reina Montanez never intended to hurt anyone. Not at first.
It was just a crush, a common schoolgirl obsession over a boy. Innocent, until the lines between good and evil became fluid, like blood. Reina was at war with herself when a beautiful stranger named Scarlet appeared, offering to guide her through her crisis.
Desperate to find her way back to the girl she used to be, Reina accepts Scarlet’s help. But this unexpected companion seems to be keeping dark secrets of her own. Will her way lead Reina to redemption? Or will it lead her further into madness?
Meddaugh’s imagining of The Warning’s popular concept album Queen of the Murder Scene takes us deeper into the mind of a troubled girl whose search for true love takes a dark and bloody detour. Prepare to be shocked and disturbed by each turn of events she experiences on a journey that ends where it began.
